Albemarle Container Residence

Clients sought to turn a small exercise space into a room for homeschooling three young children. The goal for the project was to create smaller 'learning' spaces' all with a modern, colorful and fun aesthetic. Program requirements for the education room included: moveable + secure storage, reading nook, counter height work surface, group work area, book storage, and access to a large smart board. The final design created a multi-level reading nook and small library. A bar-height, 'apple-green' counter wraps along the exterior windows with a hanging bubble chair at one end and a magnetic wallcovering/dry erase paint applied to one wall to showcase daily work.
